Freddie Mercury represents more than a music icon. There was always more to him than the performance: the vulnerability, the humour, the confidence, and the person behind the voice.
This original portrait is drawn entirely by hand in coloured pencil, square by square. From a distance, Freddie comes sharply into focus. Up close, the image breaks apart into individual blocks of tone, each one carefully layered and drawn by hand.
It is a piece about recognition, nostalgia and the strange way an image can become more powerful the further away you stand.
Original premium coloured pencil drawing
Drawn on heavyweight fine art paper
Size: 64 cm x 48 cm unframed

Comes with a complimentary wood-based black frame
